FAQs

What is the process to schedule an initial consultation?

Reach out to me via phone, email, or the contact form here, and I will get back to you about whether or not I have availability. If I do, we can schedule an initial brief phone call to get a better sense of our match.

What is your fee per session?

We can discuss my fee when we meet on the phone or in-person. In order to expand treatment access to more people, I do maintain some reduced fee availability; please inquire if this is a need. I’m happy to make accommodations if I can, as it’s important to me that the fee is fair and sustainable to us both.

Do you take insurance?

I’m not in-network with any insurance panels, but I can provide you with the proper paperwork (a “superbill”) you will need to seek reimbursement if your plan provides for out-of-network reimbursement.

If you’re unsure of what your insurance plan provides, you can reach out to them and ask the following questions:

  • Does my plan include out-of-network reimbursement for out-patient psychotherapy?

  • What is my annual out-of-network deductible? (This amount will need to be met before your reimbursement kicks in.)

  • What is the percentage of each session that I am responsible for — or what is my plan’s reimbursement percentage? (After the annual deductible is met.)

Where is your office located?

My main office is located at 302 Fifth Avenue (at the corner of 31st Street), near NoMad in Manhattan. I also have a limited number of in-person openings at my home office location in Prospect Lefferts Gardens in Brooklyn. And I also see patients virtually online.

Is what we talk about confidential?

Everything we discuss in our sessions will remain confidential, subject to certain legal requirements to disclose in the case of the risk of suicide or harm to others or the suspicion of child abuse. To access out-of-network insurance benefits, you should be aware that certain confidential information might be demanded by the insurance company as a condition of reimbursement. All such disclosures will be discussed with you in advance.
